Our original design wild bird feeders are hand cast from molds we make in our studio.

We use the finest terra cotta slip and non-toxic glazes for all our wild bird feeders and houses.

The hanger rope is 3/16" uv resistant nylon double braided for long service.

All of the feeders can and should be cleaned with a 9 to 1 solution of water and chlorine bleach.

The seed feeders have a drain hole in the bottom to prevent water from accumulating and the glazed top helps keep the seed dry.

We fire the bird feeders to a high temperature so they can withstand our -30°F to -40°F northern winters.

High firing keeps the water from penetrating the terra cotta so the feeders are not damaged by freezing like other cheaper types.

It's perfectly fine to hang this style feeder from a shepards hook. Just make sure the cord is not so long that the feeder can hit the hook in a strong wind.

Don't be surprised if one very cold morning you find a roosting bird inside, trying to escape the weather.

We box all of our wild bird feeders in sturdy corrugated boxes for safe shipping.
