Cornell Lab of Ornithology
This is probably the one undisputed site for information on wild birds.
Much of the information is free and you can also buy a Lab Membership.
There are some really nice membership benefits and a bi monthly magazine devoted to wild birds.
Digiscoping.com
Digi what??? If you like to take pictures of wild birds you really should investigate digiscoping.
It is a combination of digital photography (digi), and a spotting scope, (scooping).
Now anyone can get long range photos without buying a bag full of expensive lenses.
This site has all you need to know to get started.
